G1526 (NAE 39) at California Crossing, where the Gloucester Docks branch left the Midland Railway line near eastgate Station to cross Park Road and run alongside Gloucester Park
9th June 1967 00:00
Bristol KS6B, one of seven allocated to the Gloucester City fleet. A 7ft 6in body graces this decker.
It was photographed from a Bristol-bound steam train at the point where the California Crossing gave gated access (under flags) into the Gloucester Docks rail network.
Only the road - and the church - survive. Railway, steam trains, bus, crossing - all are now memories.
